State Route 172 to Close on April 7 for Culvert Replacement Project near Guilford Lake

Update: The closure for the State Route 172 Culvert Replacement Project will now begin on April 7

State Route 172 will close east of New Garden near Guilford Lake between Lakeview Road and Woodale Drive for a culvert replacement project. The closure duration is 21 days. In addition to the culvert, the project involves replacing the pavement, guardrail, and realigning the ditch.

The detouring during the closure is State Route 9 south to U.S. Route 30 east, and vice versa.

The overall project completion date is October 31, 2025
